Soccer Recap: Pecos Comes Up Short

Pecos lost against Lake View back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pecos Eagles lost 5-2 to the Lake View Chiefs. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 521st, while the Chiefs are ranked 182nd).

Pecos' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1. As for Lake View, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Pecos will take on Liberty at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake View, they will square off against Estacado at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Estacado's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
