Spruce has gone 7-1 against Jefferson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece.

Last Friday, Spruce lost to Seagoville at home by a 25-9 margin.

Spruce didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Eric Price.

Meanwhile, Jefferson played a tough contest last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 27-6 to Samuell. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Patriots couldn't quite close it out.

Even if they lost, Jefferson's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Brian Coronado, Diego Orellana, and Alan Montelongo, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Spruce's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-5.

Spruce couldn't quite finish off Jefferson in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 and fell 21-18. Thankfully for the Timberwolves, Jovani Soberanes (who rushed for 154 yards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
