Basketball Recap: Eau Claire Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Eau Claire won the last time they faced Columbia, and Destinee Tiller did her part to make sure it happened again. The Eau Claire Shamrocks took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-23 victory over the Columbia Capitals thanks in part to Tiller, who almost dropped a double-double on 38 points and nine steals. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points.

Ayjiah Motley was another key player, putting up three points in addition to six assists and six steals. Those six steals gave her a new career-high.

Eau Claire's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Columbia, they are on a 34-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Eau Claire will be playing in front of their home fans against Chester at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to take on Mid-Carolina at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia is facing Mid-Carolina at the right time seeing as Mid-Carolina is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
