After a string of five wins, Clear Springs's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They fell just short of the College Park Cavaliers by a score of  2-1. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cavaliers earlier this season, when they won  3-0.
 Caylee Young paced Clear Springs' offense, picking up eight kills. Young got some help from  Mady Powell and her 12 assists.  Aubree Svoboda controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
 College Park found their leader in freshman  Abby DiMatteo, who  had 19  digs and three  aces. Those three  aces set a new season-high mark for  DiMatteo.  Caroline Prihoda also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  kill of the season.
Clear Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for College Park, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-8.
 Clear Springs has already played their next game,  a  3-1  loss against Friendswood on the 3rd. As for College Park, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  2-0  win against Hebron on the 30th.
