Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Seton Catholic). Everything went their way against the Odyssey Institute Minotaur on Wednesday as they made off with  a  20-5 victory. The Sentinels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven  runs or more this season.
 Brooke Zuluaga made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 13 batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in four of her six plate appearances with one  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  four  runs gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Scarlett Olivares and  Eva Lopez did most of the damage at the plate:  Olivares  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3, while  Lopez  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in four of her six plate appearances. That's the most  runs  Olivares has posted since back in March.  Natalia Casillas was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
 Seton Catholic  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Odyssey Institute only posted  an  OBP of  .310.
Seton Catholic has  been performing  well recently as they've  won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-2 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Odyssey Institute, their loss was  their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-11.
 Looking ahead, Seton Catholic will welcome Apache Junction  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Sentinels are facing the Prospectors at the right time seeing as the Prospectors are stuck on  a  ten-game losing streak. As for Odyssey Institute, they are taking a road trip to  challenge Highland Prep  at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. The Honey Badgers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15  runs per game on average), something the Minotaur will no doubt try to take advantage of.
