Preview: Tri County Area Vikings vs. Morley Stanwood Mohawks
The Tri County Area Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Morley Stanwood Mohawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Tri County Area and ten for Morley Stanwood.
Tri County Area pushed their score all the way to 76 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Newaygo 81-76. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (60), Tri County Area still had to take the loss.
The losing side was boosted by Brennan Grabinski, who scored 23 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Rykse, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Morley Stanwood was the victim of a rough 65-41 defeat at the hands of White Cloud on Friday. While losing is never fun, Morley Stanwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 675th, while White Cloud is ranked 192nd).
Tri County Area's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Morley Stanwood, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-15.
