Chicago Mt. Carmel faced Brother Rice in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Caravan walked away with a 27-14 win over the Crusaders. The Caravan's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Despite the loss, Brother Rice still got an impressive performance from Collin Goggin, who picked up 45 receiving yards and two scores.

Chicago Mt. Carmel's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Brother Rice, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Chicago Mt. Carmel will venture away from home to challenge Joliet Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brother Rice, they will head out to face off against Niles Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders are facing the Dons at the right time seeing as the Dons are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
