Volleyball Recap: North Henderson's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

North Henderson entered their tilt with Hendersonville on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bearcats. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant North Henderson was: they took every set by at least 25 points. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Wantong Phoeun paced North Henderson's offense, picking up ten kills. Phoeun got some help from Jaden Cordoba and his 22 assists. Aiden Buckner controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

North Henderson's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hendersonville, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, North Henderson will welcome Pisgah at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Hendersonville and Enka will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Jets will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Bearcats surely won't give up without a fight.
