Baseball Recap: Cassville Comes Up Short

Cassville managed to slip by Mt. Vernon the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Mountaineers on Thursday, falling 12-5.

Spencer Drollinger was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Cassville's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Mt. Vernon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Cassville will be playing at home against Purdy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will head out to take on Parkview at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
