Basketball Game Preview: Eufaula Tigers vs. Houston Academy Raiders

The Eufaula Tigers and the Houston Academy Raiders will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Eufaula is headed into the match having just posted their biggest win since February 9th on Thursday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 72-40 stomp they got against Ashford.

Meanwhile, Houston Academy won against Dale County on Thursday with 81 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Houston Academy came out on top against Carroll by a score of 81-71.

Eufaula's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Houston Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Eufaula against Houston Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2021, as the team secured a 67-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eufaula since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
