Softball Recap: Academy of Notre Dame Sets Scoring Season-High Against Nashoba Valley Tech

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Academy of Notre Dame). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Nashoba Valley Tech Vikings a 22-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won nine games by 14 runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Academy of Notre Dame's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Nashoba Valley Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Academy of Notre Dame will head out to face off against Shawsheen Valley Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nashoba Valley Tech, they will be playing at home against Montachusett RVT at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
