Softball Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

West Point's last matchup with New Hope could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The West Point Green Wave lost 8-2 to the New Hope Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 last Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for West Point and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for New Hope, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

West Point will face off against French Camp Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Hope, they will take on Grenada at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Grenada's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so New Hope's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
