Soccer Recap: Charlotte Latin Takes a Loss

Charlotte Latin was the 2-2 winner over Covenant Day when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawks lost 3-0 to the Lions on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Charlotte Latin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Covenant Day are ranked third).

Charlotte Latin is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-4. As for Covenant Day, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-1-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Charlotte Latin is set to face off against their familiar foe Charlotte Country Day School at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Covenant Day will challenge rival Charlotte Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
