Football Game Preview: Valley View Cougars vs. North Pocono Trojans

Valley View is 8-2 against North Pocono since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will host the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Valley View's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Scranton 28-0. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Gabe Davis was a one-man wrecking crew as he picked up 110 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those 110 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. Aidan Muchal was in the mix as well, providing Valley View with one score.

Valley View didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ben Evans and Tristan Smith. Valley View received some extra help from Muchal, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, North Pocono got the win against Dallas on Friday by a conclusive 35-14. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won four contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

North Pocono's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Valley View, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Valley View beat North Pocono 21-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
