Volleyball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Aptos + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Aptos walked away with it. They came out on top against the Pioneer Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. This was payback for the Mariners, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 23-25, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Pioneer still got an impressive performance from Ella Rhyasen, who had 63 assists and two aces. Rhyasen is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 16 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Carley, who had 18 digs and five assists.

Aptos' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-12. As for Pioneer, with the loss, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 16-11.

Looking ahead, Aptos will face off against Archbishop Riordan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pioneer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
