Soccer Game Preview: Buchholz vs. Eastside

The Buchholz Bobcats will square off against the Eastside Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Buchholz's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Gainesville by a score of 2-0. Christian McDaniel had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Bobcats.

Santa Fe typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Eastside proved too difficult a challenge. They won by a goal and slipped past the Raiders 1-0. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Rams' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Raiders are ranked 64th).

Eastside is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matchups. As for Buchholz, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Everything went Buchholz's way against Eastside in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as Buchholz made off with a 3-0 win. Will Buchholz repeat their success, or does Eastside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
