Recap: Denmark vs. Valor Christian Lions
Denmark entered their tilt with the Valor Christian Lions with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Denmark came out on top in a nail-biter against Valor Christian on Tuesday and snuck past 47-44.
Emma Hempker continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Denmark's points. Avery Huffman was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Valor Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alyssa Mulholland, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Marisa Taylor, who scored 11 points.
Denmark's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. As for Valor Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-1.
Denmark will head out on the road to face off against Lambert at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lambert is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Valor Christian, they will square off against Hun at 3:50 p.m. on Saturday. Hun is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.2 points per game.
