Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Grove Saints vs. North Clayton Eagles

The Cedar Grove Saints will head out on the road to square off against the North Clayton Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedar Grove will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Cedar Grove blew past Mt. Zion, posting an 81-38 win. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 22 points or more this season.

Cedar Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Keith Gillespie, who posted 30 points. Those 30 points gave Gillespie a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emanuel Green, who scored 20 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Clayton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They managed a 63-57 victory over Stephenson on Friday.

North Clayton's win came from a few key players Cedar Grove will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Triston Magitt, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Fisher, who went 7 for 11 en route to 15 points and six rebounds.
