Baseball Recap: Kingston Takes a Loss

Kingston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lindsay Leopards. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redskins of the 12-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Kingston saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Seeney, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Ewan Weaver also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Kingston now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lindsay, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kingston will challenge Hugo at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Kingston is facing Hugo at the right time seeing as Hugo is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lindsay, they will face off against Little Axe at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
