Soccer Game Preview: Glenbrook South vs. Deerfield

The Glenbrook South Titans will challenge the Deerfield Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Glenbrook South's tournament run continued when they took on Lake Forest Academy on Saturday. The Titans came out on top against the Caxys by a score of 3-1. That's two games straight that Glenbrook South have won by exactly two goals.

Roman Rozenbaum and Jack Simpson scored all three of Glenbrook South's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Deerfield kept a clean sheet against North Chicago on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Warhawks. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Deerfield's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 191st, while North Chicago are ranked 448th).

The win got Deerfield back to even at 6-6-3. As for Glenbrook South, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Glenbrook South took their victory against Deerfield in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
