Softball Recap: Olympic Gets the Win

Olympic won the last time they faced Orting and things went their way on Saturday too. The Olympic Trojans narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Orting Cardinals 5-4. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by just one run.

Jules Richmond spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Kennedy Haas was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Evee Abbay was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Olympic and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Orting, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Olympic will host Ridgefield at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Orting, they will head out to challenge Kingston at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
