Preview: Windsor Locks Raiders vs. Stafford Bulldogs
Windsor Locks has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the Stafford Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Windsor Locks has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
On Monday, Windsor Locks came up short against Canton and fell 59-47.
Windsor Locks' defeat came about despite a quality game from Jasmine Hurdle, who scored 15 points along with five assists. Maeve McGinnis was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Stafford's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 45-17 loss at the hands of Somers. Stafford has not had much luck with Somers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Windsor Locks' loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Stafford, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-7.
Windsor Locks didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Stafford in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 41-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windsor Locks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
