Wray has gone 8-2 against Sedgwick County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. Wray is taking a road trip to take on Sedgwick County at 11:00 a.m. Wray will be strutting in after a victory while Sedgwick County will be coming in after a defeat.

Wray took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Haxtun, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Wray skirted past Haxtun 8-7. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Fightin' Bulldogs on their field since April 16, 2019.

Broderick Kite made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Kite was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Grady Godsey was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Gabe Kechter, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sedgwick County's offense. They came up short against Akron on Tuesday, falling 17-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost eight in a row.

Sedgwick County's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Wray, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Wray took their victory against Sedgwick County in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wray since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
