Minerva has been on a difficult stretch since their win on August 28. They lost 7-0 to the Marlington Dukes on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Minerva can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 509th, while Marlington are ranked 70th).

Minerva's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-2. As for Marlington, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minerva will welcome Southeast at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Marlington, they will host Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
