            Football Recap: Pinole Valley Spartans vs. De Anza Dons        
        
		
        
        
            Pinole Valley was the  18-8 winner over De Anza when they last played one another  back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans lost  28-7 to the Dons on Friday. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
  Jason Miles had another great game (as  he tends to do), picking up 95 receiving yards and three  TDs for De Anza. Miles also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  making five total tackles and defending three passes in addition to snagging  two  interceptions.
This is the second loss in a row for Pinole Valley and  nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for De Anza, they pushed their record up to 3-3 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinole Valley will welcome Vallejo  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Spartans will be up against the Redhawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.83  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for De Anza, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Saint Mary's  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
