Basketball Game Preview: Winner Warriors vs. Todd County Falcons

The Winner Warriors will challenge the Todd County Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Winner took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They really took it to Bennett County for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-24 victory. Winner has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 20 points or more this season.

Winner relied on the efforts of Carter Craven, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds, and Shawn Hammerbeck, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which Craven has scored at least a third of Winner's points.

Meanwhile, Todd County came into Saturday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Crow Creek by a score of 70-57 on Saturday.

Winner has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Todd County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
