Basketball Recap: Litchfield Gets the Win

Litchfield won the last time they faced Lincolnwood and things went their way on Saturday too. The Litchfield Purple Panthers managed a 40-34 win over the Lincolnwood Lancers.

Litchfield found their leader in freshman Mckenna Harmon, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 12 points in addition to eight boards and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Harmon. The team also got some help courtesy of Daphney Hartel, who posted four points along with seven boards and three steals.

Litchfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Lincolnwood, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Litchfield will venture away from home to square off against Hillsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincolnwood, they will head out to challenge Sangamon Valley/Tri-City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lincolnwood is facing Sangamon Valley/Tri-City at the right time seeing as Sangamon Valley/Tri-City is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
