 Hoover had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Jackson Polar Bears  4-2. Winning may never get old, but Hoover sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
  Jack Andes and  Mason Ashby made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Andes   tossed 1.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Ashby   pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   seven  hits. Andes has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Andes  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Ashby  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Carson Dyrlund, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Hoover has  been performing  well recently as they've  won ten of their last 12 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record  this season. As for Jackson,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 24-8.
 Hoover will head out on the road to  take on  Twinsburg at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hoover is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Jackson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
