Baseball Recap: Owosso Comes Up Short

If Owosso was feeling good fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Brandon on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans fell just short of the Swartz Creek Dragons by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The Trojans have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Eden Ackley made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob 'JD' Diyle, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Owosso's loss dropped their record down to 21-7-2. As for Swartz Creek, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-7.
