Baseball Recap: Gage Park Comes Up Short

Gage Park was the 15-2 winner over Richards when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Fighting Owls took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Tuesday. The Fighting Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eduardo Gonzalez and Jose Alfredo Macias stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, while Macias got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Macias is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Gage Park's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Richards, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-3.

While Gage Park had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
