Soccer Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello and Turner Ashby squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Monticello had to settle for second. They lost 4-1 to the Knights. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Monticello struggled afterwards.

Their goal came courtesy of Brady Davis, who's now up to four this season.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-2. As for Turner Ashby, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

Monticello does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Turner Ashby, they will welcome Staunton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Staunton will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Turner Ashby surely won't give up without a fight.
