The Rolling Meadows Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Glenbrook North Spartans at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Rolling Meadows is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Rolling Meadows is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They lost 9-1 to Addison Trail.

Iris Jordan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and four unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Rolling Meadows saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caylee Del Boccio, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Kelly McQueen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Glenbrook North came into Saturday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Niles West by a score of 7-2 on Saturday.

Rolling Meadows' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Glenbrook North, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-7.

Rolling Meadows suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Glenbrook North in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
