Basketball Game Preview: Desert Hills Thunder vs. Snow Canyon Warriors

Desert Hills and Snow Canyon are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Desert Hills Thunder will welcome the Snow Canyon Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Desert Hills: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Snow Canyon has snatched up 14 consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, Desert Hills earned a 63-54 win over Dixie.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Snow Canyon). They breezed by Hurricane to the tune of 86-29 on Tuesday. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Desert Hills now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Snow Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 17-0.

Desert Hills was dealt a bruising 68-32 loss at the hands of Snow Canyon when the teams last played two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Snow Canyon's Olivia Hamlin, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine boards.
