Basketball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the South Shore Vikings, falling 111-13. While losing is never fun, the Golden Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 447th, while the Vikings are ranked ninth).

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for South Shore, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Madison will take on John Jay at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Shore, they will square off against New Utrecht at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
