Volleyball Game Preview: Desert Vista Thunder vs. Sunnyslope Vikings + Official Tickets

Desert Vista is 2-8 against Sunnyslope since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Thunder will head out to take on the Vikings at 6:00 p.m.

Desert Vista is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Xavier College Prep, who was ranked first at the time (Desert Vista was ranked 25th). The Thunder lost 3-0 to the Gators on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-9, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Sunnyslope made easy work of Millennium on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Sunnyslope has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-13 record this season. As for Desert Vista, they now have a losing record of 14-15.

Desert Vista came up short against Sunnyslope in their previous matchup on October 2nd, falling 3-1. Can the Thunder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
