After a string of three wins, Everett's good fortune finally ran out on Sunday. They took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Mary's Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Crimson Tide can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Spartans are ranked 25th).

Everett's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for St. Mary's, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Everett will venture away from home to take on Lynn English at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lynn English's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups. As for St. Mary's, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bishop Fenwick at 6:30 p.m. St. Mary's knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Bishop Fenwick likes a good challenge.
