McMichael is still undefeated this season after their contest against Southwestern Randolph on Thursday, but Southwestern Randolph came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Phoenix came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cougars. The three-run effort marked the Phoenix's lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Lindsay Redmon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ellie Southern was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

McMichael's record now sits at 14-0. As for Southwestern Randolph, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-3.

Coming up, McMichael will venture away from home to challenge North Brunswick at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Southwestern Randolph, they will be taking part in a tournament against Randleman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
