Softball Recap: Blooming Grove Comes Up Short

Blooming Grove has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.36 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They came up short against the Grandview Zebras, falling 19-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Zebras this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 last Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Blooming Grove and nudges their season record down to 21-4. As for Grandview, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, Blooming Grove will face off against Maypearl at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Grandview, they will challenge Salado at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Zebras surely won't give up without a fight.
