Softball Recap: Skyview Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Skyview can now relate to. They came up short against the Gallatin Raptors on Thursday, falling 17-7. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Kacie Morris made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Ruby Sheridan, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Skyview's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Gallatin, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Raptors beat Skyview by a score of 14-2 later that day.
