Softball Recap: Paul VI Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Paul VI ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the St. John's Cadets 5-4. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Cadets on their field since April 24, 2019.

The team relied heavily on Ashley Robinson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

Paul VI has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for St. John's, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

As of now, neither Paul VI nor the Cadets have any future games scheduled.
