Football Recap: King City Wildkats vs. Stewartsville Cardinals
King City took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 64-6 win over the Stewartsville Cardinals.

A big part of King City's victory came down to the chemistry between Landon Carlson and his top target Ryder Sample. Carlson threw for 193 yards and five TDs while completing 80% of his passes while Sample picked up 123 receiving yards and three scores. Those five passing touchdowns gave Carlson a new career-high.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to King City's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Josiah Schellhorn and Coltin Potter, who racked up all five sacks between them.
Coming up, King City is headed away from home for the first time to square off against DeKalb at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stewartsville, they will welcome North Andrew at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
