Volleyball Recap: Lilanny Reyes- Mendoza and Chloe Sanchez Secure Win for Trinity Prep

Trinity Prep entered their tilt with Summerfield Waldorf on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Mustangs. For the Crusaders, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Trinity Prep took Summerfield Waldorf into a fifth set where they got it done with a 12-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 25-7, 15-25, 15-3.

Trinity Prep was led to victory by Chloe Sanchez and Lilanny Reyes- Mendoza. Sanchez had nine aces and four digs, while Reyes- Mendoza had ten digs and four aces. Those four digs gave Sanchez a new career-high. Allie Duncan was another key player, getting three blocks and two aces.

Trinity Prep's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Summerfield Waldorf, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Trinity Prep is set to challenge their familiar foe Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Summerfield Waldorf will square off against rival Pacific Union College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
