Basketball Recap: Sunnyslope Falls Despite Big Games from Maggie Luba and Shannon Mcilroy

Sunnyslope's tournament run continued when they took on Bishop O'Dowd on Friday. The Sunnyslope Vikings fell to the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons 36-32.

Sunnyslope's loss came despite strong showings from Shannon McIlroy and Maggie Luba. McIlroy posted 12 points along with six boards and three steals, while Luba earned nine points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Sunnyslope's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Sunnyslope wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 68-48 victory against St. Anthony on the 21st. Bishop O'Dowd has also already played their next contest, a 55-41 win against Caruthers on the 21st.
