Volleyball Recap: Grace Academy Triumphs

Grace Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans by a score of 2-0 on Friday. Grace Academy was shut out 2-0 the last time they took on St. Stephen's Episcopal, so Grace Academy was just returning the favor.

Grace Academy found their leader in freshman Riley Armand, who had eight digs and three aces.

Grace Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 21 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Grace Academy and St. Stephen's Episcopal will both be playing Texas Lions HomeSchool the next time they take the court. St. Stephen's Episcopal will host Texas Lions HomeSchool at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, while Grace Academy will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
