Baseball Recap: Amherst-Pelham Regional Comes Up Short

Amherst-Pelham Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 15-3 to the Ludlow Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hurricanes have suffered against the Lions since April 14, 2017.

Oscar Reich was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Amherst-Pelham Regional's record now sits at 1-15. As for Ludlow, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amherst-Pelham Regional will venture away from home to square off against Ware at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricanes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Ludlow, they are taking a road trip to face off against Chicopee at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
