Softball Recap: Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua Victorious

Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 14) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the St. Ignatius/Charlo/Arlee Bulldogs 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Scotties have posted since April 22nd.

Brynn Donaldson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on CharLee McColly, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Riley Clampitt also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, St. Ignatius/Charlo/Arlee fell to 3-1.

Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua has already played their next game, an 8-7 win against Conrad on the 10th. St. Ignatius/Charlo/Arlee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
