Basketball Recap: Moorestown Friends Starts Season with Victory at Home

Moorestown Friends gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 58-28 victory over the Willingboro Chimeras. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-12.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Moorestown Friends to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zakariah Bah, who posted 26 points. Another player making a difference was Chase Barnes, who put up 17 points.

Willingboro is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Moorestown Friends won't have much time to rest: their next game is against LEAP Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Willingboro, they will venture away from home to challenge Cherry Hill East at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
