Baseball Recap: Union Local Takes a Loss

Union Local lost against Weir back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jets fell just short of the Red Riders by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Jets have lost by just one run.

Union Local has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Weir, their win bumped their record up to 11-16.

Union Local didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 loss against Buckeye Local on the 9th. As for Weir, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Grafton on the 12th.
