Baseball Recap: Dover-Sherborn Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Dover-Sherborn won the last time they faced Needham and things went their way on Friday too. Dover-Sherborn skirted past Needham 5-4.

Jackson Shusda tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Will Forman was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Matt Bowen was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Dover-Sherborn pushed their record up to 1-0-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Dover-Sherborn and Needham will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Dover-Sherborn is set to square off against their familiar foe Bellingham at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Needham will take on rival Weymouth at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
