Softball Recap: Biddeford Tigers vs. Gorham Rams
After a string of seven wins, Biddeford's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 11-1 to the Gorham Rams. Biddeford was red-hot at the plate headed into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the six matchups prior) but Gorham's pitcher proved too tough.
Biddeford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mariah Villandry, who went 1-for-2 with a stolen base, a double, and an RBI.
Biddeford's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Gorham, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
